Hailing from Pirkkala, Finland, S.Ahola is a young musician/dancer of diverse stylistical ambitions. His (sort of) main project at the moment is drumming for the stoner metal band Fuzzing Heathens, but apart from all the gloom and doom, he's been practising the art of ambient music since 2009.
His first release on Siko Records, however, is neither heavy nor unobtrusive. As the title suggests, Acid Attack is influenced by sixties rock and Finnish avantgarde. It's a study on psychedelia, but there's nothing retro in it. Who would've thought that one can make a recording that's psychedelic to the core without a hint of pastiche?
